Gary Bissell and his wife, Dr. Jayne Holland, have been friends of ours for nearly twenty years. Gary is a talented physiotherapist, and over the years, he’s expertly helped me with various back issues—an occupational hazard for a dentist.
Following a series of operations on my troublesome leg, Gary was helping me rehabilitate, and during one of our sessions, he shared his plans to expand his beautiful Art Deco building to accommodate his growing practice. I immediately saw the potential for the space as a perfect setting for a dental practice, with an ideal style and layout for our needs.
To make it functional for dentistry, we needed some adjustments, like removing challenging staircases and leveling the floors. Lenny the builder got to work, transforming the space into exactly what we envisioned.
Now, we have two treatment rooms flanking a custom-designed instrument processing room. This setup ensures that all the “behind-the-scenes” work stays out of sight, so patients won’t see nurses carrying instruments around or any cleaning or processing happening in the treatment rooms themselves.
Unfortunately, despite regulations meant to protect patients, some practices still clean instruments in the same rooms where treatments occur or skip essential cleaning cycles to save on costs. At Dentistry with Integrity, we prioritize hygiene and cross-infection control, leaving no room for compromise.
Our Cleaning Processes
