Fees

(1st January 2019 )

We’re afraid there’s no getting away from the fact that providing dentistry in the UK in 2019 is a very expensive business.

As a result, fees for high quality dentistry can seem high, although we will always make sure we tell you in advance, either via our Fees List or, with more substantial treatment-plans, via a formal written communication.

If you’re not sure about a fee, please feel free to discuss it with one of the team.

Generally though, the fee is determined by :

1. How long does it usually take ?
2. Any associated laboratory bill ?
3. Any single-use instruments ? ( some treatments, eg root canal, involve a lot of expensive disposable instruments )
4. How much of an impact does it have on us ? ( some treatments involve long periods in very uncomfortable positions which can cause us back and neck problems )
5. How stressful is it ? ( we’re only human, after all ! )

Fees can be paid on a “ Fee per item “ basis, via Denplan, or via a third-party insurer eg AXA PPP, NDP etc which is often provided by employers as a benefit.
